The 31st Annual Bob Bartling Hobo Day 5K will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026.

Time Schedule:

6:30AM-7:45AM - Registration

8:00AM - Race Starts

*Race Day check in will be in the Taco Johns Parking Lot from 6:30AM-7:45AM

Early Bird Cost: $30

Price Increases Monday October 19th to $40

Online Registration closes Fri October 23rd at 5:00pm

Race packets will be available for pickup on Friday October 23rd from 8:00AM-5:30PM

at Mills Construction -1311 Main Ave South.

Race Day Parking- if you are not staying for the parade, park south of 6th Street!  The roads north of 6th around our start and finish line will be closed in preparation for the parade and til the conclusion of the parade! The only on campus parking lot available will be south of Daktronics Engineering Hall (til full).

Prairie Striders Running Club has been promoting jogging and distance running for fun, fitness and fellowship in the Brookings area since 1969. 
Prairie Striders currently sponsors road races from one mile to the marathon and we encourage anyone who is interested to participate as a runner, director or volunteer.
